The Far East -Saigon, Vietnam |
||
Vietnam was vastly different to
Thailand, far less sophisticated. We were told that Saigon has a
population of 5 million and they own over 3 million motorbikes,
consequently crossing the road is a nightmare....just close your eyes
and go for it. We were fortunate in being there just before Chinese New
Year, and saw many of the events and celebrations organised by the
large Chinese Community. In addition to Saigon we spent a week at
a beach resort, a bit remote but beautiful. Despite it now being called
Ho Chi Min City, all the locals still refer it to Saigon.
