In the foreground is the young melon plant. It went on to produce lots of Charantais Melons, very sweet and very moreish. The sweet corn is just behind them, this picture again was taken in July 2005. |

We move on again, September 2005, the Sweet Corn is approaching maturity. From about twenty plants we had about a 12 - 14 good ears of sweet corn. Not spectacular but I thought good for a first attempt. |

October 2005, with most of the leeks eaten. I missed the Broccoli, it
was mature early August, completely gone to seed when we arrived early
September. The sprouts are doing well and I started to pick them towards the
end of October. I have already lifted the potatoes, and the carrots are
proving just as good.
